Executive Assistant

Michelle Simon joined Community Synagogue of Rye in 2013 as the Executive Assistant. The synagogue represents a positive change from her last job, as a contract administrator for a military manufacturer, to a friendly community.

Michelle learned English when she moved to the U.S. at age 11. She previously lived in Barcelona, Spain and Mexico City; her first two languages were Spanish and French.

After attending high school in Berkeley, California, Michelle received her B.A. from Emory University and her M.B.A. from the University of Georgia.

In her free time, Michelle coaches Little League, makes piñatas for her daughters, Madeline (16) and Ripley (8) and reads lots of Science Fiction.

Michelle’s husband, Scott, is the Commissioner of the Westchester Hebrew Softball League (www.whsl.org) and he’s the one who recommended that Michelle apply for this position. Community Synagogue of Rye has a storied history in the WHSL, though its team dropped out of the league a few years ago. You can call or email Michelle.  914-967-6262 extension 223.
