Women of CSR

Women's Seder 2019

Here at CSR, we call our division of WRJ (Women of Reform Judaism) Women of CSR, the Synagogue's sisterhood.

​

The Women of CSR celebrate annual events such as Sushi in the Sukkah and a women’s Passover event. We provide gifts to our b’mitzvah. We support women’s issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and protecting victims of gender based violence. And, we raise tzedakah through various efforts throughout the year. Women of CSR members enjoy crafting, playing games, cooking together and learning. Please join us.

CPR training

Free Hands-Only CPR and AED Training* Hosted by the Women of CSR

Thursday, February 12

7:00 PM

Presented by Project ADAM New York from Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.  Learn this important skill during American Heart Month.  Geared towards the Women of CSR (including their children & teens), & their guests.

 

Please join us for a Hands-Only CPR and AED training during American Heart Month.  Learn about the signs and risks of sudden cardiac arrest in children and teens and how to respond including a hands-on lesson in CPR and how to use an AED. We will have some of the Rye EMS on hand to facilitate and answer any questions. 

*This is not a certification course.

Celebrate the women who made the Exodus from Egypt possible during this inter-generational musical Passover ritual. A Women of CSR favorite! More details to follow.

Wine tasting

Thursday, April 30

Sip, snack, and schmooze while we relax and learn about various wines. Details coming soon.

Chanukah Candlemaking & Treats with the Women of CSR

Each guest (or guest group) will be making a full set of 44 Chanukah candles by rolling beeswax sheets around wicks. All materials will be provided for $18/kit. It's fun and easy, and a great activity to do with kids.

 

2 Separate Sessions:

 

6:15 - 8:15 PM - Candle making for CJL children and their families

  • Pizza Dinner

  • Open to everyone age 5+!

  • All children must be accompanied by an adult

7:00 - 8:15 PM - Candle making for adult women and their guests

  • Adult beverages

  • Snacks
