J-Life
J-Life is grade-based series of innovative parent-child experiences held on Shabbat mornings that engage families in life-long family learning. It was developed by the Project Re-Imagine Committee and provides guided Jewish living experiences that builds a sense of community and supports parallel family learning both in and out of the synagogue.
One universal thing to so many parents is the mantra "If I only had more time." Finding time, or making time, to rest, exercise, read and spend quality time with one’s friends/spouse/children can be a challenge. Our J-Life programming is a great solution that will intertwine family time with Jewish life and encourage you to participate in lively discussions and activities. Parents are expected to attend all J-Life sessions with their child(ren). For more information about J-Life programming, contact us at Info@comsynrye.org. |

Kindergarten, First and Second Grade Families
Through stories, songs and skits, we'll learn how to be a "Mitzvah Hero."
Third Grade Families
This year, third grade families will explore the Torah, with emphasis on what it is, how we read it and what we can do with the knowledge acquired through thoughtful investigation and study. Families will understand firsthand that Torah is a living document that we can always learn from.
Third grade families will take part in an on-side Shabbaton at CSR filled with programming, food and fun. Later in the year, we'll participate in a Shabbat dinner where we will continue the conversation about Torah informally.

Fourth Grade Families
We will learn how to celebrate the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Chanukah, Tu B'Shevat and Yom Ha'atzma'ut in hopes of strengthening one's personal and family connection to the Jewish people.
Fifth & Sixth Grade Families
Families can now choose Jewish learning opportunities that align with their interests. While some learning will not take place on Shabbat mornings, most of the courses will. Please note, there are no regularly scheduled classes for the 5th & 6th graders on these dates.
Seventh Grade Families
Through learning about the Holocaust, families will come to understand how to face Jewish history responsibly. In doing so, they will confront their own feelings about Jewish identity and contemplate their responsibilities as Jews in the world.
