J-Life Family Learning Programs
Family learning at Community Synagogue of Rye encourages learners of all ages to engage in vibrant Jewish experiences.
Our programming is designed to bring meaningful Jewish rituals, observances and traditions into the homes of our families and to create a community where parents and children can become energized by learning together. We provide opportunities for individuals to develop a spiritual, educational and social connection to Jewish life and to our synagogue, as well as to integrate Judaism into people's daily lives. J-Life is grade-based series of innovative parent-child experiences held on Shabbat mornings that engage families in life-long family learning. It was developed by the Project Re-Imagine Committee and provides guided Jewish living experiences that builds a sense of community and supports parallel family learning both in and out of the synagogue.
One universal thing to so many parents is the mantra "If I only had more time." Finding time, or making time, to rest, exercise, read and spend quality time with one’s friends/spouse/children can be a challenge. Our J-Life programming is a great solution that will intertwine family time with Jewish life and encourage you to participate in lively discussions and activities. Parents are expected to attend all J-Life sessions with their child(ren). For more information about J-Life programming, contact the Center for Jewish Learning at cjl@comsynrye.org |
