Become a Jewish Big Brother: Do a Mitzvah!
Mentors Needed NOW in NY through UJA/Federation of NY
Future Jewish Men Need Your Help! A Jewish Big Brother volunteer provides friendship, socialization, and a positive role model to a child from single parent family. Through participation in regularly scheduled activities, “Big Brothers” and “Little Brothers” build relationships based on trust, constancy, and support. All volunteers must be ages 21 or older and able to make a one-year commitment, spending a half day on alternate weekend afternoons with a child. If this is a Mitzvah you can do, please contact Korenet Brown or 212-632-4488 or Karen Greenbarg at The Jewish Boards’s residential campus in Hawthorne, NY (where over 200 teens live, attend school, and receive treatment).
