Sisterhoods Mishloach Manot Fundraiser
The Sisterhood/Women of Reform Judaism of Community Synagogue, would like to help you fulfill the Purim Mitzvah of sending gifts to Friends and Family by offering Mishloach Manot bags. These bags contain Hamantaschen, grape juice and other sweets. Attached to the bag will be a card with your name and the names of other families who have given that person/family Mishloach Manot. Any family receiving a bag from 5 or more families will receive a larger bag.
This is a good opportunity to help the Sisterhood raise some funds. The Sisterhood is responsible for doing many things around the Synagogue such as providing flowers on the bima for the High Holidays, sponsoring/co-sponsoring educational and social programs, providing coffee for the many meetings at the Synagogue and publishing the Synagogue Directory. Sisterhood relies on the money we raise from Mishloach Manot bags to provide services for you. Please support Sisterhood.
Look through the Community Synagogue Directory, the Early Childhood Directory and the Religious School Directory. Come up with a list of local congregants and other people affiliated with the Synagogue that you would like to send a Mishloach Manot bag to.
Download the letter on the link below. On the back of this letter there is a form to fill out. For each name you write down, you pay $10 as a Tzedakah donation to the sisterhood. To include your name on 10 cards, you pay $100. You can send as many bags as you wish to local members of the Community Synagogue Family. These bags will be delivered by members of the Sisterhood the between March 18 and March 20. Please drop off or mail the form to the Synagogue by March 16.
Additionally, bags will be available for the Clergy, The Early Childhood Staff, The Religious School Staff, The Custodians, and the Office Staff. These bags cost $2 each.
This year we are offering a new option of Mitzvah Manot. An anonymous bag given by you to a congregant who would not be receiving a bag. These bags will be given to families/individuals who are in need of cheer. The cost for this type of bag is $9.
